The Very Hungry Caterpillar ... in real life!

We found this tiny monarch caterpillar on a milkweed plant when we were hiking on our camping trip.  We put it in Nathan's bug jar and brought it home.  A friend gave us her old butterfly house which our caterpillar made into his new home.  We fed it several milkweed leaves daily (thankful we have milkweed growing by our mailbox) and watched it grow and grow.  Then one day is stopped eating and hung from the top of the house in a J ... and then shed its skin forming the beutiful chrysalis (look at the gold dots on it).  About 10 days later,  the chrysalis became clear and the butterfly broke out the next day.  We released our friend to be free and proudce more.  What an amazing experience for us!!  What a great reminder of how God can change our lives!
