this Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was different than most for us.  For a couple reasons on both ends, we didn't travel to Phili to have Thanksgiving with our friends the Ayars family (our tradition).  And I didn't make homemade cards to send family and friends.  Instead we (the kids mostly) made 25 Thanksgiving cards with handprint turkeys and spent the middle of our day delivering them and visiting with residents who didn't have family coming to see them at a home in Titusville.  One resident told Grace it was the best card she'd ever received.  But there was a turkey cooking at our house while we were at the home ... and late afternoon, my mom, my Uncle George, plus my Uncle Dave and Aunt Becky came for a simple Thanksgiving dinner with us.  It was great having them at our home!

We did continue our tradition of documenting something each of us were thankful for every day this month.  Grace and I made grape bunches to write what we were "grapeful"  for on each grape.
