While feasting at the party, Nathan got up on his own, came over and gave Grace a big hug!
And of course...here's a made by mommy ladybug cake.
You can't see the shirt Grace got for her birthday...it says "I'm the LITTLE sister!".Matt and I thought it the perfect gift since Nathan received a shirt saying "I'm the BIG brother!" at his first birthday announcing that we were expecting Grace.
Daddy gave Grace a pink rose (which means grace) for her first birthday!
We are so blessed!
Grace shoveled in her chocolate cake...
She loves to walk around when holding your hands...here she's "mingling" with her guests.

She loves to walk around when holding your hands...here she's "mingling" with her guests. It is hard for me to believe that my little girl is a year old already. Grace is such a joy and special part of our family. It is such an honor to be her mommy!
And it was great to celebrate her life and our love for her.
We spent special time together, just the four of us, on her actually birthday Thursday.
On Saturday, we invited grandparents plus her two uncles and families over for a celebration.
We celebrated in grand ladybug style...right down to her beautiful ladybug dress. We feasted on specialty pizzas that we prepared (taco, bbq chicken, and chicken alfredo). Grace was blessed with precious gifts! And of course, we didn't forget the chocolate cake and ice cream.
But best of all, Grace was surrounded by people who love her on her first birthday.

Happy Frist Birthday Sweet Grace!
Ang, the cake is adorable and I love the picture of Nathan hugging her. Look out mama, she's almost ready to run! Then you'll be in trouble, but loving every minute of it!!
Thanks for the update. Grace looks sweet in her birthday dress. Cannot wait to see you at Thanksgiving.
