Nothing compares to the joy you find at Gramma's...Nathan loved "Nathan's house" that my mom found for sale along Rt 8...and Grace found such fun in this empty box.
"Nathan make applesauce!" Nathan was beside himself when he realized he was making applesauce by cranking the handle. Nathan and Grace couldn't get enough of this fresh applesauce!

Nathan was a great helper picking apples off Gramma's trees...
and loved loading up his kid sized wheel barrel.

It seemed like Nathan and Grace were constantly gnawing on an apple.
Nathan is watching our apples being washed before being pressed into cider.
Gramma Pieper grew mini pumpkins for Nathan and Grace. Nathan was thrilled to pick them.
yummy! Gramma makes the best pumpkin cookies...Nathan even got to help this year! Matt and I decided, last minute, last week that the kids and I would head up to PA and stay with my mom for a week. We quickly packed and hoped we had everything we'd need/want Monday night and the kids and I left the next morning. We were gone 9 days in all.
We all had a marvelous time at my mom's. We enjoyed fall to its fullest...picked apples, made applesauce, pressed cider, played outside in the crisp air, made our traditional pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, picked pumpkins...
