Matt loves to watch birds (well wildlife in general) so we have a handful of feeders in our back yard. And Nathan, who adores his daddy, loves when Matt shows him the different birds in our backyard telling him the names....common names for now, no scientific names yet.
This morning, Nathan and Matt made pine cone bird feeders to hang from our trees. With a string tied to the top, they slathered peanut butter on the pine cone and then rolled them in bird seed. When they were finished, Matt hung them from our trees.
We had a black-capped chickadee visit one already!
