for the birds

Nathan's imagination and creativity have been in overdrive this summer! And I LOVE it!! He loves to draw maps ... in the car on his magna doodle so "we know how to get there" or on paper at home of places we've been or... maps for the birds so they know how to get here ... (the maps for the birds are taped to the inside of the windows all over the house as shown here)
...and the birds need to know how to get here because all summer Nathan has collected such things as dry grass, leaves, straw, sticks, material scraps etc on the front porchs so the birds could use it for their nests! He has also had a never ending supply of worms with dirt and coffee grounds (in the yogurt containers) for them to feed their babies and water in the bowl for them to drink.

...and there have been several signs made ... from STOP! and SLOW! signs so nobody stepped on the supplies to these signs for the birds so they would "know where the stuff is and not worry because I will put out more when it is all gone"... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!
