Grace knew all her letters and most of their sounds coming in Kindergarten.
So each week, we study a new letter, but focus on sorting pictures
that begin and end with that sound among other things.
This is about the fourth week that I've thrown in "making words".
I give Grace a handful of letters (only the ones she needs) and
a card with three colored sections ... then I tell her
a word beginning or ending with the focus letter.
We work together to stretch out the word and spell it with
the letter cards. TODAY ... Grace stretched out the
words and isolated the phonemes on her own!!
Kindergarten excitement!!
