creating and burying a time capsule
for a history project ...
curious about who will find it!?
camping and hiking for Columbus Day weekend
in Cook Forest as a family
reading Greek myths ... building a labyrinth out
of Legos after reading "Theseus and the Minotaur"
learning to make a pie ...from scratch
spending a lovely fall day at Miracle
Mountain's Harvest party
Nathan entering his dutch apple pie
in the pie baking contest/auction...
winning no prize but earning $12 for MMR!
giving of our times and talents ...
Grace's American Heritage Girls troop
packed 100 Operation Christmas Child
boxes. Our explorer unit made bead
bracelets for the girl boxes and para-cord
bracelets for the boy boxes.
We were short our goal for the
para-cord bracelets, so Nathan joined me
and Grace making more at home!
learning without even realizing it...
And while learning about the post and lintel
system used in Greek architecture...
Nathan and Grace were challenged to use
paper cups and cookie sheets to
make a structure that could hold their weight...
feeling tired, sometimes too busy,
often overwhelmed ... BUT
loving my life full of God and my family!
